Kartik Vashi is an industry expert with over 10 years of experience in helping customers with determining their machine safety requirements. He is currently an Application and Products Manager with Schmersal. He is also an active member of the CSA standards committee for machine safety.
Doug Nix, C.E.T., SM-IEEE, Compliance inSight Consulting Inc.
Doug Nix brings more than 30 years of engineering technology experience to the subject of machinery safety, including product testing, industrial control system design and product safety certification. Doug is an active member of 10 standards committees including CSA (4), ISO (4) and IEC (2), including Chairing CSA Z1002 OHS Risk Assessment and the Canadian Standards Mirror Committee ISO TC 270 Rubber and Plastics Machinery. Doug teaches and consults on machinery safety, risk assessment and laser safety in Canada and online
