The IEEE Symposium on Product Compliance Engineering is the premier product safety engineering conference, a place where engineering professionals in consumer products, IT, medical, industrial and professional equipment gather each year to discuss advancements in product safety.

If your work includes product safety standards, risk assessment or regulatory compliance, this is the conference for you.

There is only one week until SPCE 2020!

Meet the IEEE SPCE 2020 Keynote Speaker!

Dr. John Thomas leads research in MIT’s Engineering Systems Lab to study engineering mistakes and human error in order to develop systematic methods to prevent them. His primary research is focused on Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and related methods for system safety, security, and human factors engineering. His background includes work in medical devices, nuclear power plants, information technology, autonomous vehicles (land, air, and space), robotics, manufacturing, and others. He teaches classes on software engineering, system engineering, system safety, cybersecurity, and human factors. He serves on industry committees responsible for international safety and cybersecurity standards by ISO, IEC, SAE, and others. He collaborates extensively with industry and provides professional education on the latest generation of system safety approaches.
