If you’ve been reading this blog for very long. you’ll know that I frequently write a series of posts on a topic, like this one on how to do an ISO 13849-1 analysis. A few months ago, the software I have been using for many years to organize those series posts stopped working properly and started causing some serious problems with the site. That resulted in disabling that code and working with the developer to try to fix the problem. Fast forward to today. I’ve now installed some new software on the site to manage those series.
Now, if you use the site search to find an article on a topic, you’ll find that any posts that are related to that article will be displayed in a list in the right sidebar when you are looking at the article you found. If there’s no list showing to the right of the article, that’s because the article isn’t part of a series. Unfortunately, there is no list of available series anymore, since the simple code I’m using now doesn’t support one.
I’m hoping that this change will continue to work for some time. Who knows, I may be able to go back to the original code I was using if the developer can fix the issue that makes it not work for me.
Thanks for your patience as I worked on sorting this out. Since I do this entirely on my own, all aspects of site operation and maintenance are mine alone to carry. Sometimes that makes for a slower than desired response to site issues, so if you’re still here, I thank you. You can thank me by buying me a coffee if you’re so inclined.
